Im allowed to be a little bit sad about this...

And Im just as allowed to write a really cheesy blog about it..
you have been warned.
I am moving home to Las Vegas.
I have a lot on my mind..so forgive me.

So today as I was cleaning my room I felt the need to be nostalgic, so I put some pants on and headed out the door with my ipod in hand..
See, when I first moved to Provo I took a lot of walks, I wasn't super comfortable just chillin around my apartment yet, I wasn't working, and I didn't have a ton of friends.
So today, as I left my front door I started thinking about those first few days in Provo.
[As I turned onto 4th east] I remembered the time that I went for a walk, ipod in hand, and it started to rain. Instead of turning back I kept going, skipping and listening to the Rocket Summer.
Then I got a text from Jeffrey and ended up hanging out with him.
I was so nervous to interrupt the people that I already knew before I moved here lives so at first I was really nervous to always ask them to hang out.

I turned onto 5th North and glanced up at the mountains and the giant Y on them and I started to remember that time that I hiked it with Caitlin and her friends, and how we almost died because A. we were out of shape. and B. there was a snake....I really hate snakes. Regardless of this I am pretty sure we picked up a coke on the way home.
As I was admiring how beautiful Provo was, I started thinking about Harry Potter, and more specifically horcruxes (for you noobs who don't know what a horcrux is..it is basically parts of Lord Voldemort's soul that he hid away so that he could be immortal). Well I was thinking about how sometimes I leave a little horcrux in places I love, part of my heart, part of my soul. I did it when I visited Hawaii, and I know part of me will always be in Provo. I don't know if I will ever get the chance to live here again, I sure hope I do, but if I don't I know that every time I drive through or visit I will always feel like I am at home.

At this point on my walk memories and thoughts are flooding from every corner of my mind.
But then I passed a broken sprinkler that was just gushing water..and of course my mind went to the pool..not just any ol' pool but Provo's very own Veteran's Memorial Pool.

I spent almost my whole summer at this pool. Ya know..just guarding lives and teaching lil' chitlins to swim.
Oh and MAYBE...hanging out with some of the coolest people ever.

I could write a whole blog about every single person at the pool, but I am too lazy for that, so I will try to hit on a few key things about them.
First off I have never liked working some where so much. Never. I think I liked working here so much because of the people I was surrounded by.
I am unsure how to write this part..because I want to tell you about every single person that I work with..but that would be really long..so basically, they have all touched my life in different ways.
Some have become really dear friends to me, some were always concerned about my life even if we didnt hang out outside of work, some just plain made me laugh, some were examples in my lives without even knowing it, some of them made me smile when all I wanted to do was pout, and ALL of them made me want to stay in Provo forever (and by forever I mean longer than a summer haha).
I wish I could tell you every story at the pool..but let this wet your appetite.
Concussions, people scaling a fence, being called the B word, the joy that is pool covers and slide covers, pink frosting cookies, lots of soda, broken pretzels, dancing, dumping quinn in the pool, being in your swimsuit all day every day.

[Speaking of people...]
This summer wouldnt have been this summer without a few key people. I'm not going to do a long shout out because I know they know how I feel...BUT...
I am so sad to leave the Reynolds..Katie Kayla and Caitlin
(mouth full eh?)...were the coolest residents Reynolds 201 has ever had (minus Jana Laidlaw, because she is really cool too).
But I dont know what I am going to do NOT living with these girls..
who am I going to go to McDonalds with in my underwear? Who am I going to talk to drive thru's in a southern accent with? Who am I going to go shopping with? Or make scandalous hidden lists with? Huh?
I am so lucky to have had their understanding support this whole summer. Thank you girls.
[OH and just in case you didn't know we are going to be the stars of the CW's new hit show The Provo Push....its not as dirty as it seems]
Oh then there was a few other people. I would be ungrateful if I wasnt so thankful for everything Jeffrey did for me this summer. Between making sure I didnt DIE when I hit the slide and introducing me to so many people and making sure I felt welcome. I also don't know what I would have done without late night talks and runs to the hospital for shakes.
Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts. I wrote in my journal a TON this summer, because I didn't want to forget one second of it...
I started to remember a list I made in it before I moved here, things I wanted to accomplish. It went a little something like this...
1. be healthy...[check-ish.]
2.make new friends...[like i said..i could say so much yes. Extra credit on this one.]
3.scriptures, scriptures, scriptures...[check.]
4.write in my journal at least twice a week. [Check]
5.more self respect [check, check, check]
6. Learn to love better and more fully [up to debate]
7. become more self-less [i wish I would have done better at this.. I can think of so many times that people put themselves aside for me...but I dont know how much I did that]
8.become more independent [checkity check check]

So much growth this summer, so much learning, so much experienced.
I am going to miss Provo with everything I have...

I like how you said, "...and then i put my pants on and walked out the door." because you had to clarify that you werent naked, you never know with the TIps.

Im glad provo was a splendid time.. id be lying if i said i wasnt jealous of all the people that got to spend time with you more than me. Thats just my selfishness coming out.

I know you want to stay but im so excited to have our rancho drive when you get here. and our yard sale! i love you so much best friend.
