In past years I have done a lengthy picture post to show you how my year went...
But I am just going to talk about it.
This day last year I was eating at BJS with Caitlin and Lori, then Cate and I hit up the New Years Singles dance....NEVER again.
spring semester I continued my calling as Friday Forum rep and loved mostly every minute of it. I got to go talk to seminary students about my love for institute and why I think they should attend in the coming years. In about April I decided that I was going to serve a mission. My calling in my ward was as the 14 and 15 year old Sunday School teacher and those kids taught me so much. However I decided to ditch them and move to Provo because I got a cool job working at a pool with my friend Jeffrey and a room in an apartment with my friend Caitlin. It turned out to be one of my favorite summers to date. I made some pretty amazing friends (Katie, All my pool friends, ward members ext) and grew stronger bonds with friends I already had(this ones for you Caitlin and Jeffrey). Alas summer came to and end and I knew I had to move back to Las Vegas. I packed up and moved a few weeks later. At home I went to register for classes and knew something wasn't right. I needed to serve a mission and work for a bit. So I got a job at the Mandalay Bay as a lifeguard and turned in my papers. At the Bay I met 3 people who kind of changed my life, Alex, Kyle, and Jordan. Oh man, I'm going to miss them so much. So I worked their and both me and Jordan got our calls, we had a lot of missionary experiences with co-workers and just had a good time. I got my call to Ventura California in October and I started preparing. Thanksgiving was its usual greatness. December brought me my 21rst birthday and Christmas brought me tons of missionary stuff.
I spent half of the year at Disneyland and I will always treasure those memories.
This year has forced me to look at myself and what I want in life. It has strengthened my testimony and sometimes kicked me in the face.
So peace 2010, 2011 bring on the mission :)
