Paying it Forward

Have you guys ever seen the movie pay it forward?

Guess what I havent! But I possibly had the most amazing experience today in our Leadership class.

A guy who works at UNLV is involved with a movement called Pay it Forward, stemmed from the movie and the book.

If you havent seen the movie..the basic idea of "paying it foward", is you as a person do a good thing for three different people..then you ask them to do something nice for three different people.

If everyone did that..after 20 levels of this..THE WHOLE WORLD..and yes i say the whole world would be affected.

How amazing is that?

He told us about a Starbucks that a guy decided to pay for the coffee of the car behind him..this went on for 1,112 cars. .

It was a super touching presentation..and I am really interested in getting involved with it.

I also thought, how does this apply to the gospel?

Guess what popped in my head?

"have i done any good in the world today, have i helped anyone in need, have i made someone feel glad, if not i have FAILED indeed"..

I love that hymn, and it totally applies..it doesnt say..if i follow the commandments i will get an 80%, but if you DO NOT help someone, you have failed. I love the idea of paying if forward..but i dont like the idea of making a big deal about it..thats my only problem with the program..I dont want to do good..to make 3 more people do good..but to glorify my Father.

HOWEVER..i love it. :)
